I am going to be honest and tell you, every single day I wake up in a different state depending on the information that has been presented to me. So what is smart? It’s not hard to define what intelligence is; it’s simply being able to learn from failure or success. I believe in luck when thinking of being intelligent because sometimes life doesn’t always give us the best results. This doesn’t mean it’s easy, but it does mean knowing who you are good at and letting yourself fail for no reason. That said, one thing I learned after working with clients for more than 15 years now, is that even though everyone is trying their hardest to be successful, we can all do better. We are not perfect, so don’t have much hope. If life fails to give you some form of victory, try another. As many times as possible. Do not try again. Everyone makes mistakes, so why fight them. Just keep moving forward. There are two parts to being smart, understanding one and then acting upon it. You can do this by reading and watching all of your emotions. Once you get more comfortable, start writing, listen to music, read books and watch movies. The key thing to remember in this case is finding the right way. Being smart is having the “right mindset” (the ability to think clearly) and the ability to act effectively in an environment. Yes, just like other things in life, it takes time. However, if you want more out of work, then try doing something more than you typically do. Now, let me ask you what do you usually do to find a job? What do you typically do while searching for opportunities? Read, see what others around you are doing. Ask, what do they’re doing? Find ways. Here’s my advice; go to college so you can get paid. It will help you get started faster too! Even if you didn’t graduate high school, you should get your degree. And when you are done, look for jobs. Not only do you have more experience and more knowledge, you also come with a portfolio or portfolio that will make the recruiter notice. When you go to college, you will also meet people who know what they’re doing. These conversations will help you learn fast. Don’t get into a situation where you’re in conversation with someone who tells you how great their business is or thinks that you should get involved. Instead, find out how to handle those situations, how to deal with conflicts. Try getting new skills in areas such as communication and conflict resolution. Also, take advantage of these opportunities while you are still young. Take a course, study abroad, join societies, volunteer in organizations and charities, etc. It will benefit you in multiple ways. Remember, everything works together. Work harder for results and less for effort.
If I were your advisor, here’s what would I tell you to become smarter in the lifestyle world in a week. Week 1: Read A Lot Every Day In Any Subject Get Out There And Learn. This may sound easy, it’s actually really difficult to do. Read anything and everything you can about any subject. Think of your interests and talk to other people about what they find interesting and exciting. Write down notes and take pictures while studying. Listen to motivational speakers, especially in the area of finance and economics. Look at your favorite shows and movies based on financial concepts. Study whatever topic you choose, write down the most important points, do research on your own. At least once a day, write a personal statement on each subject on paper. Review the notes and try to remember anything you heard a professor say. Research on yourself. After one week, you will no longer need to pay attention. You will be able to read a book for free. Bookmark pages you like and start to create a plan to read again and again for as long as possible. By this point, you should be able to read anywhere from 20 minutes to 30 minutes a day. For example, you could read five pages on psychology today and finish at 6pm. By the end of ten weeks, you should have read over 100 pages, and you should be able to finish every night before 8pm. Start talking to other people about what they love about themselves and others. Go to clubs, pubs and restaurants and be able to converse with people about anything under the sun. Read magazines or newspapers and review which ones are relevant to your area of interest for specific titles. People will often open up to you, especially if you write down all of these thoughts while you are outside. Your mind will thank you. If you aren’t sure what else to explore, ask your friends or family and colleagues. Make a list of questions to discuss with them, just write down the answers. Listening is what helps us grow and be self-aware. Ask for feedback and help as needed. Keep asking questions. Follow up with others you had conversations with. Continue to read everything you can on a specific subject and then take another test. Then start learning in class. Watch a tutorial on YouTube related to your field of interest. Check out sites such as Quizlet, Skillshare, Reddit, Medium, Meetup and Amazon. Most companies will allow you to participate online and have lessons recorded. If there weren’t any courses available, use websites such as Coursera and Udemy. These sites offer classes every day and there are video tutorials within each class. Consider taking college courses related to your chosen field of interest/interest. Many colleges and universities will offer student loans, scholarships, financial aid, and grants for students enrolled in programs. Use these resources. All of this research will pay off in one week. Week 2: Invest Money Slowly But Steadily Create A Plan Save An Emergency Fund Set An Ambition Increase Income Invest Time Pay Yourself Regularly Monitor Investment Successfully Have Fun Spend More Time Alone Improve Nutrition Practice Healthy Eating Change Habits Speak Well Seek Help Stop Negativity Avoid Stress Stay Away From Drinking Too Much Sleep Enough Exercise Exercise Reduce Alcohol Intake Limit Social Media Use Understand Privacy Protect Friends & Family Always Have Faith Know Where To Turn Next May God Bless You And Thank You Very Much.
You may have noticed that I mentioned above the word “stability” twice. Honestly, this is very important. It is very simple to start small. Begin by paying a salary that will increase over time. You don’t have to become rich overnight, but you must begin somewhere. Put away three to six months worth of money each month. Let it last until later. It will help you avoid spending too much on necessities later on. Doing this, you will build up equity. Equity is exactly what it sounds like. Having a savings account that you put away money for, meaning you don’t spend any until something comes along. Imagine having millions of dollars. You don’t have to worry about making payments; it’ll automatically build up the money and provide you security. In addition, you will be able to invest without worrying too much about taxes at the federal level. Investing early can be the difference between investing and losing money. Investing early means putting a part of your money towards an investment instead of saving it for the future and hoping that something goes right. Why wouldn’t you consider investing as a big step forward? As you progress, you can turn investments into other forms of investments. Examples could include stocks, bonds, real estate, mutual funds and ETFs, etc. You might end up earning higher returns faster than any stock market will ever be. Investing is also a huge risk. You never know what you are getting into, or how fast you can go up in value. Although these risks are there, don’t let them discourage you! You will be rewarded later. With proper preparation, you can earn quite a bit over time. One thing to remember is to always aim for growth. If you stay focused, investing, building assets and maintaining healthy habits, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Like any endeavor, you should always be prepared for the unexpected, however, this is a challenge that most individuals face because of age. Some people aren’t born in the next decade and others are not born into wealth or opportunity to succeed in life. Nevertheless, it is important to take steps and pursue goals that are meaningful. Strive for greatness. Never give up and remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
